La meilleure cuisine réconfortante végane à LA | Doomie’s Home Cookin’

22 avr. 2016

Les attentes sont forcément élevées lorsque l'étiquette meilleur est accolée au nom d’un restaurant. Après avoir entendu dire que Doomie’s Home Cookin’ was “one of the best Vegan restaurants in Los Angeles,” we clearly had to check in on this ourselves.

Niché dans le coin d'une place commerciale sans prétention, à l'angle sud-ouest de Vine & Fountain, Doomie’s is basically a drunk-vegan-at-2:30am-leaving-the-bar-after-last-call’s version of heaven (although they unfortunately don’t keep their doors open that late). Vegan “comfort food” at its finest.

Their version of the iconic American culinary staple, the “Big Mac”, has a flavor remarkably similar that that of the McDonald’s O.G., but better (in our opinion, of course).

The dining tables are plastered with an array of classic comic book graphics, which is a perfect visual for zoning out & reminiscing after a few sessions with the G Pen Elite.

The mock Buffalo Legs were a definite fav amongst the GLIFE crew. There’s nothing quite like the absolute satisfaction of “guilt-free” indulgence.
