Vaporizers are electronic-powered appliances that heat materials in order to extract and release the compounds. Typically, vaporizers – often called vapes or vape pens, depending on their size – are filled with a dry herb or concentrated material – such as a dab of wax or oil cartridge. Vape pens and vaporizers have designated heating chambers that quickly warm the substance of choice below the point of combustion. This releases the vapor for consumption.
Typically, vaporizers – often called vapes or vape pens, depending on their size – are filled with a dry herb or concentrated material – such as a dab of wax or oil cartridge. The material of choice is then heated electronically below its combustible point. This releases the compounds of the material within a vapor, which the user can then inhale. Vaporizers differ from smoking in a few different ways. Smoke is the direct result of combustion. While it burns, smoking also releases new chemicals through oxidation. Conversely, vaporization is a more gas-like release, occurs at a lower temperature and does not reach the point of combustion. It only releases the chemicals that are found in the material itself – unlike smoking and its new oxidation-based chemicals.
Vape pens and vaporizers are very simple to clean. In general, most vape pens follow these steps: 1. Detach the heating chamber, if possible. 2. Empty all materials and ashes. 3. Clean the vaporizer with approved cleaning materials. 4. Wipe and dry your vaporizer with a cotton cloth. 5. Once dry, put your vape pen back together and enjoy! G Pen’s portable vaporizers come with complete owner’s manuals, which outline necessary care to ensure it lasts a long time. In general, vape pens can use a variety of plant-based materials, including tobacco, herbs, essential oils, CBD, and cannabis – but G Pen products are specifically meant for the latter. These materials can come in a variety of formats. These include liquids and oils – which typically come in a cartridge for easy application – and dry herbs, often called ground materials or flower. Another common vape pen material is a concentrate. A concentrate can be an all-encompassing term for waxes or dabs, and can also refer to liquids and oils, as they feature a concentrated amount of material to vape.
There are three things to consider when shopping for a vaporizer pen:
1) What type of materials do you want to use in it: liquids, concentrates or ground materials?
2) Where do you want to use your pen: at home, on the go, everywhere?
3) What is your budget? Vaporizer pens can be as affordable as 20 bucks, but sleeker, more powerful tech can set you back for as much as $80 or more.
